Hello World!

Hello friends!

Thanks so much for visiting my first ever blog post! I am very excited to share with you a little more about myself and this awesome company!

So, who am? Well, I am some who loves long road trips. I love it when the sun sets so I can gaze at the stars and get lost in my own thoughts. I love what I do. If I am not working, you can find me hiking with my husband or watching love stories on the hallmark channel while vegging out! (OMG - they have amazing holiday movies right around Christmas!! Seven more months, but who's counting?) I love discovering new places and little towns to visit, especially if that means going antique shopping! Downtown Claremont is one of my favorite local "villages" to explore. Antiquing has been my latest obsession! Our house is filled with them! I am proud to say that almost everything in my office is from an antique store (Shout out to Vintique Alley & The Weathered Feather). I love finding old things and making them new. I also love yoga! When I can't make it to the gym, Yoga with Adrian on youtube is the best! :) Well, now that we're acquainted, let me tell you about my company.

I officially launched Forever Taeken Weddings and Events on Saturday, April 23, 2016. I am truly blessed to have such a supportive group of friends, family and creatives helping me on this beautiful journey. Most importantly, I want to thank God for this passion and dream!!! Dreams really do come true, friends!

The name Forever Taeken is symbolic in many different ways. "Taeken" is a play off me and my husband's nicknames. My family calls me "Tae" for short and my husband's shortened name is "Ken". If you put our nicknames together you get "Taeken". My husband and I are college sweet hearts, and thus have been taeken for 8 years (as of 2008). On January 12, 2014, we got married and from that day on we have been Forever Taeken, because marriage is forever.

I have always said when I start my own business, I want it to be authentic, pure and honest. I want each individual to feel special and cared for whether they're the bride, florist or even the janitor. I want to create an atmosphere of mutual respect so that each client feels confident sharing their dreams and vision. I don't want to be a cookie cutter wedding and events planner. I want my company to have a deeper meaning and a bigger purpose. From each booking, I want to give a portion to a few different charities. This will be the first charitable act as a married couple. More to come about giving to charities on my next blog!

I would like to leave you with a quote: " It is not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving." - Mother Theresa

Have a beautiful day!!
