Speakeasy on State Wedding: Heather & Wolfie

Speakeasy on State Wedding: Heather and Wolfie

About Speakeasy on State:

Speakeasy on State is a new venue in Redlands that opened doors last April. It was built in 1899 and to this day has the original architect and design to preserve its rich history. The venue is 4k square feet with 2 ballrooms and a quaint bridal suite. The Columbia Room is used for ceremonies and small gatherings and the Ballroom is used for larger events and receptions. In the Columbia Room, one of the brick walls still has the old signage that was painted on it. It used to be a leather shop so naturally the title reads, “Henry C. Vought Harness - Harness & Saddles.” So much history, it’s incredible. The owners, Dawn and Ariell, have done a tremendous job getting the venue set up and they are such a joy to work with. If you are ever in Redlands, you should reach out and see if you can get a tour of the place!

Fun Fact:

Speakeasy on State is still equipped with its red light which helped indicate to customers the need to hide all alcohol. Also, in the pocket door leading into The Ballroom you’ll find two holes, the upper hole was utilized to visualize anyone seeking access, the lower of the two holes was utilized for the weapon that helped ensure there was no trouble.

About H + M:

If I had to describe Heather’s and Wolfie’s wedding day at Speakeasy on State in 1 word, it would be fun! They had the time of their lives to say the least. To start, Heather surprised everyone by singing during the ceremony and she also cut her hair in between the ceremony and the reception! Usually, brides will change their dress or makeup, but the bride chopped off her hair and it looked fabulous!! She looks absolutely stunning!! Also, there was nothing ordinary about Heather’s father daughter dance either! It started very traditional with a slow dance and then they had a surprise dance! Not only that, she has 3 brothers and they joined in as well, it was one of the most entertaining daughter/daughter dances. Heather and Wolfie also love Auggie’s Coffee in Redlands, so naturally they made time during cocktail hour to get their favorite drinks! She also made all of her table numbers and escort cards. She used pink water color and they turned out amazing!! This wedding was one for the books, and I wish H + W the best in life!!

I hope you enjoy their teaser video!!!
